Crisp apple greetings to you!

It was a great year for apples here in the Hudson River Valley, and we brought home a half-ton crate of mixed apples a few days ago. We’ll be making applesauce and apple butter and pressing cider this weekend and at every upcoming work-exchange weekend this autumn at Laughing Rock Farm. I hope you get a chance to join us for some apple-y fun.

We went to cider pressing at our CSA farm across the river last week. Yes, that is Monica-Jean pretending to drive the tractor at the farm. Good idea! It is a long walk to the pumpkin patch. While we were there, we spent time harvesting the last of the summer’s bounty. Come see what we harvested and what we did with it on a special Harvest Walk.

I’ve taught the last of this year’s classes at the Wise Woman Canter, but I still have two very special events to do before my teaching year is done: A short 3-hour workshop on Energy Medicine at Mirabai in Woodstock and Surviving and Thriving – with Green Blessings at Rowe Camp and Conference Center, where we will find the answers to healthy longevity and freedom from cancer, diabetes, dementia, and heart disease.

Then, it is on to 2016. This year I will turn 70 and my daughter, Justine, will turn 50. We will be celebrating in the Catskills and in Costa Rica. We will let you know how to join us in body and spirit.

There is still room for a few women to join me in Costa Rica for our annual Healing Adventure. Airfares are quite reasonable, too, right now. And, as even more incentive, my Healing Adventure is followed by a workshop led by our beloved Suzy Meszoly. If you want, you can participate in two weeks of healing, relaxing, and learning on one airfare. More info about

Plans are being made for me to teach in Australia and Italy next year, as well as at numerous women’s herbal conferences, and at the Edge Conference in Costa Rica in March. My new schedule will be ready around Thanksgiving with all the details of dates and states. I look forward to another year of restoring herbal medicine to its rightful place as people’s medicine. And a new year of sharing green blessings!

I trust our paths will cross.
