Susun's Costa Rica Pictures, contd.

Fern patterns.

Thermales. Hot springs. Several hours drive away from this spot is an active volcano. And all around the volcano thermally heated waters bubble to the surface. At the Edges Conference, there are a dozen hot pools of differing temperatures. This photo is a wild hot spring that is inaccessible due to the large swift river it debouches into.

Our "house plants" are "weeds" in Costa Rica. Actually, they are cultivated in large greenhouses for sale to foreign markets. Nonetheless, many plants I knew only from growing them in pots grow freely in ordinary places in Costa Rica, just like weeds. Can you find the itty bitty spider on this leaf?
