Week of February 2, 2016 - Snowdrops and Celebrations ...

Green greetings to each of you dear ones.

Snowdrops are blooming. The hour for celebration draws near.

Celebrate with us: my 70th birthday (2/8). Celebrate with us: Justine’s 50th birthday (3/14). Celebrate with us: please join us – me and Justine and Monica Jean – for dinner (I’m buying) at the Mid-Hudson Buffet on 9W in Kingston New York this Sunday February 7th at 7pm.

We will celebrate the old and prepare the way for the new, reminisce and re-envision, look into each other’s eyes, and raise a cup of tea to the Wise Woman Way and my great good fortune to be born into such an auspicious time.

Yes. Auspicious. This is a wonderful, amazing, abundant, time to be living. And I believe it will continue to get better. And that continuing to get better will culminate in a shift, a combining of energy and matter that will generate something quite new.

Perhaps you have heard me speak about the threshold at ten billion. In short, when ten billion atoms, or molecules, or single-cell organisms are bound in a space/time, they spontaneously combine to create a more complicated organism: atoms become molecules, molecules become cells, cells become multicellular. I envision that same threshold will allow us to spontaneously combine into the next more complicated organism when the human population reaches ten billion.

What will that be? I try to imagine explaining a liver to a paramecium.  I honestly don’t think we can imagine, in our wildest imaginings, what the next complication of life will be.

Not to worry. Nothing goes away. It is not the end. When atoms combine to form molecules, there are still atoms that are just atoms. And when molecules combine to form single cell organisms, there are still molecules. Single cell organisms combined to form multi-cellular organisms, like us, but they are still the dominant life form. In fact, they colonize every centimeter of multi-cellular organisms, inside and out. Someone quipped that we are merely vehicles for the transfer of single cell organisms.

We won’t go away when the next complication arises. We will still be ourselves, right here. We may not know the shift has occurred. It is possible that it will be too big, too strange for us to see. It may be invisible. But it will be there, the shift, the next level of complexity, the next crown of creation. And surely we will know it in our bones. Awesome!

Enjoy.

Green blessings are everywhere.
