Fifty Years of Justine and Susun, contd.

1992: Dancing Green Woman by Jaia Wise. You can see the entire drawing on the cover of my CD It’s Time: Goddess Chants. You can also see lots of Jaia’s art in the Juliette de Bairacli Levy books published by Ash Tree Publishing. She is a past apprentice, a dear friend, a delightful singer of children’s songs, and face painter extraordinaire.

1996: Portrait by Dana Daydodge: In which I am wearing a beautiful dress given to me by Deb Manfredonio. And I still have and wear that swirling Celtic green-woman dress with great delight. Thanks Deb!

1997: Baba Yaga by Hrana Janto from The Goddess Oracle (with Amy Sophia Marashinksy): In which I posed, crouching, on a stool, for several hours. Art can hurt, but what a beautiful image. And thank you Hrana for the 70th birthday present of a fine art print of your original image. I am touched and thrilled. It is at the frame shop.

1999: Baba Yaga by Lisa Levart from Goddess on Earth (available at wisewomanbookshop.com): In which I did not have to crouch. There is no other work in print that represents the sweep and breadth of the goddess as this book does. Expensive – we already established that art hurts – but worth every penny. You will want to share this book with every woman in your life.
